A new way to stay connected

Lakeside Littles Early Learning Center+Brightwheel

Lakeside Littles has partnered with Brightwheel, an all-in-one childcare management app that keeps families and providers connected.

Our mission

Nurturing Curious Minds. Building Kind Hearts.

In my home, I provide a safe, loving place where children grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Through play, caring guidance, and everyday moments together, I help each child build confidence, make friends, and enjoy learning.

Learning through play

Curiosity comes first

We embrace play-based learning and draw inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach, encouraging children to explore their interests, express their creativity, and learn through hands-on discovery.

Growing together

Kind hearts, everyday

We practice sharing, responsibility, compassion, communication, and teamwork throughout the day. Everyday moments help children learn to care for themselves and one another.

Joy in discovery

Exploring cultures and traditions

Through playful activities and fun weekly themes, children have new opportunities to explore and learn a wide variety of topics.

We celebrate cultural diversity by introducing children to cultures and traditions beyond their own, nurturing curiosity, kindness, and an appreciation for others.

Our goal is simple:
to make learning fun!

Care that grows with them

Growing Together Through Every Stage.

At Lakeside Littles, I care for infants through age 12 in a small, familiar home setting. Children of different ages share everyday routines, make friends, and learn through play, with care and activities suited to each child’s needs.

The rhythm of a day

Learning, play, and care belong together.

Our days balance child-led play with guided activities, music, movement, art, and reading. Familiar routines make space for friendships, active discovery, and rest, with experiences adapted to each child's age and needs.

At the tableNutritious meals, every day.

We serve nutritious meals daily, including a serving of fruit and vegetables with each meal and healthy snack options as well. We plan to participate in California’s Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and all meals will be served in accordance with these guidelines.

For more than six years, I’ve had the joy of supporting children in a variety of settings, including working as an assistant daycare teacher and caring for children in foster care. As a mother of three, I understand how much trust it takes to choose someone to care for your child.

My mother has been one of my greatest mentors, guiding me through many parts of life—especially my journey in child care. She has successfully operated her own daycare for 20 years, and I’m grateful to continue learning from her experience, wisdom, and encouragement as I build my own daycare at Lakeside Littles.

I believe that being a caring educator means continuing to learn, too. I regularly take classes to strengthen my knowledge and skills, and I plan to further my education in child development. My goal is to bring what I learn into our daily routines and activities so I thoughtfully support each child’s progress and their overall confidence in learning.

I’m also currently taking nutrition education courses through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to deepen my understanding of planning and providing nutritious meals for children. I want mealtimes at Lakeside Littles to nourish growing bodies and encourage healthy eating habits from an early age.

Working with children has brought so much joy and purpose to my life. At Lakeside Littles, I look forward to building lasting relationships with families and helping every child feel loved, capable, and ready to explore. Thank you for considering us as part of your child’s learning and growing journey.

With care,
Ms. Dezz

Good questions, welcome.

What ages do you care for?

Lakeside Littles welcomes infants through age 12, with infant and toddler, preschool, and afterschool care. Please contact us to find out about current openings for your child’s age.

What do children learn?

We explore a new theme each week, often inspired by holidays or the changing seasons. Our curriculum is centered on Lauren Brainard’s “The Primary Brain” and enriched with engaging, hands-on activities. Through stories, games, and creative play, children build early literacy and math skills, strengthen fine motor coordination and gross motor abilities, explore sensory experiences, and express their creativity through arts and crafts.

In addition to these learning experiences, we practice sharing, responsibility, compassion, communication, and teamwork every day.

Each year, I assess each child’s progress using age-appropriate tools, including ASQ and ASQ:SE developmental and social-emotional screenings. During parent conferences, we celebrate your child’s achievements, discuss areas where additional support may be helpful, and work together to create an individualized plan that meets their needs. Our shared goal is to nurture their growth and confidence as they prepare for the transition to school.

Is lunch provided?

A balanced lunch is served daily, with fruit and vegetables. The monthly menu will be posted on a bulletin board for parents to view during drop-off. Special diets and dietary restrictions can be accommodated upon request.
